Manuela Munteanu

European Patent Attorney

Manuela graduated from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Bucharest, with a degree in Medical Biochemistry and continued with a Master Degree in Microbiology and Biotechnology.

She has begun her specialization in industrial property by working in the Patent department of Rominvent SA in 2010. She passed the Romanian qualification for industrial property domains (patents, trademarks, designs) in 2013. She completed her studies in the field of patents with the Basic Training Course on European Patent Law organized by the Centre for International Intellectual Property Studies, University of Strasbourg (CEIPI). Since 2023 she is European Patent Attorney.

In her current work, Manuela is carrying out procedures related to patent applications or in validating European patents in Romania, especially in her areas of expertise: biology, biochemistry and related fields; she also handles the requests of changes in the juridical status of the applicants or owners of patent rights in front of RO PTO and conducts documentary searches.

Manuela is a member of CNCPIR.

She is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of French.
