Ioana graduated Law and Administration Faculty of Cantemir Christian University, Bucharest, with a degree in Law. She started working in the industrial property field in 1993, at Rominvent. She became Romanian Trademark and Design attorney in 2005. Since 2007, she is also European Trademark and Design attorney.
She is a member of the National Chamber of IP Attorneys in Romania (CNCPIR), AIPPI-Romanian group and INTA.
Her area of practice includes representing clients in administrative proceedings before ROPTO by submitting arguments to overcome the opinions of provisional refusal; filing of oppositions and points of views to the Opposition Division; filing appeals/counter-statements; representing clients before third parties by sending approaching letters in order to conclude agreements of co-existence; notifications (C & D letters) followed by negotiations between the parties.
Ioana is a native Romanian speaker and fluent in English.
