Miruna is a graduate of the Biology Faculty of the University of Bucharest, and has a Masters degree in Medical Biology from the same institution.
She started working in the patent field in 1995 and qualified as a national and European Patent attorney in 2003. Since 2010 she is also a judicial patent expert.
Miruna is a member of the Romanian Chamber of IP Attorneys (CNCPIR), epi and AIPPI (she is the treasurer of the Romanian AIPPI Group since 2009).
Her area of practice includes drafting, filing and prosecuting Romanian, European and International Patent Applications in various fields, especially pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemistry, biology and related areas. She provides advice on such matters as patentability, freedom-to-operate, SPCs, validity of rights, oppositions, annulments and infringements.
She is fluent in English and Spanish and has a working knowledge of German and French.
